The coach behind the work

Jamie Leisk is a Level 3 certified personal trainer in Liverpool, specialising in body confidence, body fat reduction, and muscle tone and development. Based at PureGym Liverpool Grand National, he works with people across Liverpool, Aintree, Walton, and Fazakerley — from complete beginners to returners who've lost the thread.

My own story started on the pitch and in the ring. Seven-plus years of chasing performance through football and combat sport taught me something a textbook never could — that fitness isn't about punishing yourself. It's about building capability. Strength you can feel. Confidence you can carry into a room.

No, you don't need any previous gym experience. I work with people of all ages and starting points, and every programme is built around where you are right now. From your first session, I'll show you exactly what to do and why — so the gym stops feeling intimidating and starts feeling like your space.

Your first session is a free consultation. I sit down with you to understand your goals, lifestyle, any past injuries, and what you've tried before. Then I'll walk you through the gym, demonstrate a few key movements, and outline a realistic plan. There's no pressure to sign up on the spot.

Most clients start to feel stronger and more confident within the first 3–4 weeks. Visible changes in body composition typically show from week 6 onwards, provided training and nutrition stay consistent. I track every session and adjust your plan as the data comes in.

Yes, sessions take place inside PureGym Liverpool Grand National, so you'll need a PureGym membership. I can show you the cheapest membership options when you book your consultation.

Yes. Every client gets evidence-based nutritional guidance tailored to their goal — whether that's fat loss, muscle gain, or simply eating more consistently. My Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports and Exercise Science underpins everything I recommend.
